The St. John's Mercy (SJM) Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery team treats the entire spectrum of cardiothoracic disease including disorders of the heart, lungs, esophagus and aorta in the chest.

assessments, SJM Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery’s outcomes are excellent.
All of our surgeons trained in nationally recognized programs and two were faculty members at major medical schools prior to joining SJM Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Our treatment philosophy encompasses the whole patient with a personal,
integrated approach utilizing the expertise of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Care Team.
State-of-the-art approaches and techniques are actively pursued and include beating heart surgery and minimally invasive procedures to reduce length of stay and recovery time and to ultimately improve patient comfort and outcome.
