Meet Our Dietitians
What is a Registered
Dietitian (RD)?
Registered Dietitians (RDs) are health-care professionals who promote good
health through proper eating. RDs have completed academic and experience
requirements established by the American Dietetic Association’s credentialing
agency, which includes a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a pre-professional
experience program/internship. RDs must also successfully complete a professional
level exam and must maintain ongoing continuing education. Some RDs hold
advanced degrees and additional certifications in specialized areas of practice.
While RDs may call themselves nutritionists, not all nutritionists are
registered dietitians.
