There are two types of heart disease in children: congenital and acquired.
Children with congenital heart disease are born with
their defect. Acquired heart disease develops sometime during childhood.
St. John’s Mercy Children's
Hospital's pediatric cardiologists
are board certified in pediatric cardiology and are
fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the
American College of Cardiology. As experts they will

for your child’s
condition.
