St. John's Mercy is the second largest provider of pediatric surgery
in St. Louis. Of the more than 28,000 surgical procedures
done every year at the Medical Center, 18 percent of
them are pediatric. St. John's Mercy has a special
focus on our young patients, including a separate Pediatric
Recovery Room where parents can quickly be reunited
with their child after surgery.
The Surgery
Center is located at the north side of the Medical Center and is used
for both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures.
A surgery preparation tour is conducted twice a month to help children
and their parents become familiar with the area and
routine of the Surgery Center.
